Gengenbach Cattle Co.

2013

Four generations of Gengenbachs have farmed and raised livestock in the high plains of southwestern Nebraska.  In 1999, Randy and Mary Jo introduced the first registered Simmental cattle into the commercial herd.  Immediately we saw an extra 50-100# improved weaning weight per calf. There was also a remarkable and measurable difference in the milking and mothering ability of the females.  Add to that the "easy to handle" disposition of Simmental influenced cattle and we were sold on the profitabilty and pleasure in Simmental and SimAngus cattle.  Thus we began our journey to raise a "Premier" registered Simmental and SimAngus herd. As the third largest breeder in registrations in 2008 in Nebraska we now have the numbers and quality to serve your seedstock needs. All non seedstock cattle go through the feedlot with our 2009 calves earning significant carcass premiums. Because we make our living farming and ranching these cattle must perform to pay their way and improve your bottom line.
